Integrating more information into a Dev Diary

In order to show our idea at the presentation i have prepared a video using brainient.

See it here :  Link to video

I tried to add information which users would want. It's all things i myself as a gamer would want to see. I tried to keep the links in places that did not get in the way of the video. but they are still easily seen and hopefully will not be missed by those ho may wish to use them.

Research

For research for our pitch. i have decided to concentrate on looking into developer diaries which are released by games companies along side the advertising campaign. These videos increase the awareness of the games and also help get customers excited for the relese and therefore help with sales.

Ive looked at a number of dev diaries , here are some of my favourites.

Each of these feature diaries specifically about the characters them selves. We decided that this would be a good place to add extra information.

Users can watch a diary like these and whilst the character is being spoken about click a link and be taken to further information. or we could add concept art to the video and actually embed pictures so they show alongside the video.

This would give customers a better interaction with the games companies and would therefore help create connectioons. This could as a customer may then be more inclined to look at other titles from the same studio, because of the rapour they may feel to the companies.

E and E level 2

For e and e this term our group has been asked to pitch an idea for a new way to market brainient software.

We have decided use brianient to make games companies developer diarys more informative. We will do this by adding links and pictures into the existing videos.

Through this we aim to extend use and information available to customers.

These videos will appeal to anyone who would normally be interested in game development or who have a particular interest in certain games. The aim is not to interrupt the videos so not to disadvantage anyone who was simply watching the videos as a casual gamer or through casual interest.
